Injuries to St. Louis Blues winger T.J. Oshie and goaltender Jaroslav Halak have forced the club to summon more help from the Peoria Rivermen.
Oshie was placed on injured reserve Tuesday with a lower body injury, with goalie Jake Allen and forward Adam Cracknell both promoted from Peoria. Allen was recalled under emergency conditions after Halak's injury, suffered during the first period of Monday's 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.
Blues goalie Brian Elliott finished up the win over the Wild, making 19 saves.
The 22-year-old Allen is 8-3 with the Blues, including a 2.45 goals-against average and .906 save percentage. He recently was returned to Peoria when the Blues recalled Elliott from a two-game conditioning assignment to the minors.
Cracknell, 27, has two assists in eight games with the Blues this season. He also has 17 goals and 33 points in 49 games with Peoria.
