This is in regard to the mayoral debate on March 26. Now is the time; we, the people, need to wake up to what is transpiring in our town. Each and every one of us needs to get involved if we want to improve our surroundings.
I have attended two debates and there was only one candidate, Joe Hayden, who explained everything he stood for and that he was for the people and what was best for all of us. May I also remark he kept his cool and was on stage to show the people how much he cares about our town.
People, wake up. We cannot keep spending on things that have no bearing on improving our town. Three examples are the park at Angler's, the building at the end of West Main Street, and we definitely do not need another grocery store.
There isn't one park I feel safe to go to in this town. So what makes anyone think this will be any different? I sure would not let a child go to the old Angler's with the big water hole that is unhealthy to all.
Again, people, please get involved and let's make a change on Tuesday.
