Several ramps on eastbound and westbound Interstate 64 in St. Louis will be closed Sunday to make way for a marathon.
The ramps from westbound I-64 to Forest Park Avenue, 3000 Market and 21st Street and the ramp from eastbound I-64 to Market Street will be closed from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday. The ramps from eastbound I-64 to Chestnut and 6th streets will be closed from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m.
In an unrelated project that could also impact metro-east commuters, traffic on northbound and southbound I-270 between I-64 and I-44 will be stopped for blasting for about 15 minutes around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
The work is needed in order to widen southbound I-270 between Dougherty Ferry and I-44.
