The St. Louis Blues have promoted rookie forward Dmitrij Jaskin, who erupted for 46 goals and 99 points in just 51 games this season in juniors.
Jaskin will wear No. 26 and practiced with the Blues on Tuesday at the morning skate prior to the game in Nashville on Tuesday night.
The 20-year-old Russian was the Blues' second-round pick (41st overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft and was playing for Moncton in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
This is first season in North America for Jaskin 6-foot-3, 205 pounds) after two years playing for Slavia Praha HC of the Czech Elite League.
