Fair St. Louis will return to the Gateway Arch Grounds July 4-6 with a big-name musical acts, air shows, family entet and, of course, three nights of fireworks on the river.
Country star Trace Adkins will perform July 4, followed by Bret Michaels on July 5 and Counting Crows on July 6, all at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks.
Also, the Fair St. Louis office is being renamed the Robert R. Hermann Fair St. Louis office, n honor of the man whose vision and energy created the fair 33 years ago.
Here is the lineup of Fair St. Louis events:
Thursday, July 4
7 a.m. -- Fair St. Louis activities kick off with the Schnuck's Freedom 4 Miler & Family Fun Run. Proceeds support the Fair St. Louis Foundation and Sports Commission's efforts in attracting, creating and managing major sporting events for St. Louis. Runners can register at fairsaintlouis.org.
9:30 a.m. -- The 136th annual Veiled Prophet Parade, themed "It's About Time," steps off.
Noon - Fair St. Louis officially opens with the first of two air shows, Kids Town and Culture Stage activities.
8 p.m. -- Four-time Grammy nominee Trace Adkins performs on the Budweiser Main Stage, followed by fireworks.
Friday, July 5
Noon -- Gates open. Programming throughout the afternoon features live music, Kids Town and performances on the Cultural Stage.
8 p.m. -- Multiplatinum recording star Bret Michaels performs on the Budweiser Main Stage, followed by fireworks.
Saturday, July 6
Noon -- Gates open. Programming throughout the day will feature live music, Kids Town and the performances on Cultural Stage.
8 p.m. -- The Counting Crows perform, followed by fireworks.
Following Fair St. Louis, the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts will move to Soldiers Memorial for two weekends: July 12-13 and July 19-20. Entertainment will be announced on May 1, as part of the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission "Tourist in Your Own Town" event at Kiener Plaza.
