Members of the Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale will perform a Baroque in Belleville concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Philharmonic Hall to benefit Belleville food pantries.
The music was created by the leading composers of the late Baroque Era, 1640-1770. The program features a newly acquired harpsichord that was given to Philharmonic conductor Robert Howard.
Performers include Howard on flute and harpsichord; violinist Philip Tinge; cellist Ethan Edwards; Susan Friesen on harpsichord; and soprano Robin Howard. Three student musicians -- violinists James Ryan and Sruti Suresh and flutist Amanda Stern -- also will perform.
A donation of $5 is requested, with a dollar off for patrons who bring one or more non-perishable food items. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Philharmonic Hall is at 115 N. Jackson St.
