Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville will host the Hoosier Tire 25 event on Friday paying $400 to win for UMP Sportsmen.
There also is an $800 to win feature for UMP Modifieds and a first-time-ever $200 bonus bounty on Modifieds driver Dean Hoffman. Hoffman has swept all the Modified feature races this year and he must still be on the track for another driver to collect the bounty.
Admission is $12 and children 12-and-under are free.
In racing last Friday, Mike Schulte held off the challenges of Mark Voigt and Rusty Schlenk to get his first feature win of the young season.
Hoffman was never challenged for the UMP Modifieds feature lead, but second place was where the action was. The battle was between Brian Bielong, Zeb Moake and Bobby Johnson early.
Hoffman won his third feature of the yea and was followed by Bielong, Moake, Justin Kutrow and Bobby Bittle.
Jim Clark took the lead with four laps left and got his first UMP Sportsman feature win this year. Randy Dietzel won the UMP Pure Stocks feature.
Feature winners at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach last week were Craig Smith in UMP Late Models, Joe Dresch in UMP Modifieds, Aaron Heck in UMP Pro Crate Late Models, Jason Worley in UMP Factory Stocks and Rickey Carriker in UMP Sport Compacts.
Highland Speedway had a busy night last Saturday with seven feature races, including some makeup features that were previously postponed.
The night started off with the UMP B-Dry Solutions SportMod feature, won by Steve Ellison. Adam Koch won the UMP Hamel Coop Street Stock feature.
Michael Kloos took home the checkered flag in the UMP Late Model Feature with Chad Zobrist and Chad Sellers not far behind.
Aaron Kleine won the UMP Steve Schmitt Modified feature, while Jacob Patton won the Daum Insurance Micros feature.
The UMP B-Dry Solutions SportMods had a great night of racing with Rob Lee winning the feature.
The UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks winner was Austin Isaak.
This Saturday will be a "Kids Dash for Cash" for Junior Fan Club members ages 5-6 sponsored by 97.5 The Rock.
This season Highland Speedway is partnering with Tri-City Speedway to present the Crate Double Down Series. One weekend a month the Crates will be racing at Tri-City on Friday and then on to Highland on Saturday.
The series begins April 27 at Highland Speedway.
Federated Auto Parts Raceway
Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., is sponsoring the "Lets get Dirty 75" on Saturday featuring a $20,000 to win and $1,500 to start NDRL Late Models event and $2,000 to win and $200 to start for UMP Modifieds.
Gates open at 1 p.m. with hot laps at 5 p.m., qualifying at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
The NDRL Late Models entry fee has been dropped to $125 (from the original $200 that was announced). Along with paying $20,000 to win and $1,500 to start, all cars that fail to make the starting field for the feature event will be guaranteed $150.
The UMP DIRTcar modifieds entry fee has been completely eliminated and all drivers that don't make the $2,000 to win, $200 to start feature will be guaranteed $75.
The price of pit passes will be $45 across the board.
Last week's feature winners at Federated were Tim Ratajczyk in UMP DIRTCar Late Models, Dean Hoffman in Modifieds, Dustin Homan in the UMP/AARA Sportsman class and Andrew Wibbenmeyer in UMP/AARA Pro 4 Stocks.
