Weekend weather: A chance to dry out

The metro-east will get a chance to dry out starting Friday with no rain in the forecast through the weekend.

Temperatures will be cooler than usual for this time of year with a high of only 51 degrees on Friday. It will seem even more brisk because of strong wind gusts of up to 28 miles an hour.

Skies will be cloudy in the morning, according to the National Weather Service, then gradually clearing mid-day.

Friday night the temperature will drop close to the freezing mark with a low of 33 degrees. Patchy frost is expected.

The high Saturday should reach 58 degrees under mostly sunny skies. On Sunday the temperature will reach 65 degrees under partly sunny skies.
