ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams will open the 2013 season against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 8 at the Edward Jones Dome.
The Rams' schedule, which was released Thursday night, also includes two nationally televised prime-time games against NFC West rivals at the Edward Jones Dome.
They'll play the San Francisco 49ers in a Thursday night game on Sept. 26 and they'll play the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football on Oct. 28.
The Monday night game is the first at the Edward Jones Dome since the Rams played the Chicago Bears in 2006.
"We are thrilled for our fans that Monday Night Football is returning to St. Louis for the first time since 2006,'' said Kevin Demoff, the Rams' executive vice president of football operations. "The opportunity to host two prime-time games against division rivals is a direct reflection on the passion of our fan base and what a special environment the Edward Jones Dome can be at night. Our fans proved to be the edge in many games last year and the outstanding home schedule this year will give them the chance to make a difference once again."
After opening against the Cardinals, the Rams will play their next two games on the road, starting with a Sept. 15 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons and former Rams running back Steven Jackson.
Jackson is the Rams' all-time leading rusher who signed with the Falcons as a free agent this offseason.
The Rams will play the Cowboys in Dallas in Week 3 with the opportunity to break a 15-15 tie in the all-time series between the two teams.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and former Missouri quarterback and St. Louis native Blaine Gabbert visit the Rams on Oct. 6.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher will be going against his former team when the Tennessee Titans come to St. Louis for a Nov. 3 game at the Edward Jones Dome.
The Rams' bye week comes in Week 11 (Nov. 17), and they'll return to action against the Chicago Bears on Nov. 24 at the Edward Jones Dome.
Three of the Rams' last five games are road games against NFC West foes.
They'll travel to San Francisco on Dec. 1 and Arizona on Dec. 8, and they'll conclude the regular season on Dec. 29 against the Seahawks.
It marks the third time in four years that the Rams have wrapped up the season in Seattle.
