Illinois' mixed-up priorities

April 20, 2013

I would like to congratulate our legislative leaders in Springfield (really Chicago) on keeping the best interests of the public in mind. What I am referring to is the recent article in the News-Democrat on the state's thinking as it pertains to medical marijuana. I am proud to live in a state where gay rights, legalized marijuana, and trying to disarm its citizens is far more important than figuring out what to do with a $100 billion unfunded pension liability. Way to keep your eyes on the prize.
