Both on-ramps and one of two exit ramps connecting Illinois 158 with Illinois 15 in Belleville will close beginning Tuesday, April 30 through the end of September, acccording to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

On-ramps leading from Illinois 158, also called Centerville Avenue, and the exit ramp for westbound traffic on Illinois 15 will be closed to all traffic.

The closures stem from pavement rehabilitation work expected to be completed by Sept. 30. Between 1,900 and 3,500 vehicles use each of the ramps each day, according to the most recent state study completed in 2008.

Hank's Excavating of Belleville is the contractor for the project.
