BELLEVILLE POLICE

TUESDAY, APRIL 16

8:23 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 300 block of South 16th Street. The victim reported her vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

9:01 a.m. Burglary -- 8100 block of West Main Street. The victim reported his garage was entered and property was stolen.

3:21 p.m. Burglary -- 200 block of South Pennsylvania. The victim reported his garage was entered and property was stolen.

5:50 p.m. Retail theft -- St. Louis Bread Co., 113 E. Main St. John H. McCarten, 66, was arrested after stealing merchanidse from the business. He was taken into custody.

7:18 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 1700 block of East C Street. The victim reported a door on her property was damaged.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17

1:37 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- 1300 block of Orchard Street. Tyress R. Wilson, 23, was arrested after creating a disturbance. He was taken into custody.

12:33 p.m. Theft -- Walmart, 2608 Green Mount Commons. Loss Prevention reported a suspect used a receipt to obtain cash for items he did not purchase.

6:27 p.m. Criminal trespass, obstruction of identification -- Signal Hill School, 40 Signal Hill Place. A juvenile was arrested for trespassing and giving a false name to officers. The juvenile was taken into custody.

7:45 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- Wendy's, 5959 Belleville Crossing. The victim reported his vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

THURSDAY, APRIL 18

8:57 a.m. Theft -- First Student, 2012 Mascoutah Ave. The victim reported property was removed from her vehicle.

12:13 p.m. Forgery -- First Bank, 6323 W. Main St. Employees reported a male attempted to cash a forged check.

1:25 p.m. Domestic battery -- First block of Sunnyside. The suspect was arrested after allegedly battering the victim. The suspect was taken into custody.

7:53 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 1300 block of North 17th Street. Harold Nelson, 24, arrested and issued a nontraffic citation for disorderly conduct.

8:29 p.m. Lost/stolen debit card -- Midwest Petroleum, 1200 Royal Heights Road. The victim reported she lost her debit card and unauthorized purchases have been made in surrounding cities.

FRIDAY, APRIL 19

9:40 a.m. Threats -- First block of North Jackson Street. The reporting party stated the suspect has called and left numerous threatening voicemails.

9:41 a.m. Criminal damage to property, theft -- 9800 block of West Main Street. It was reported an air conditioning unit was damaged and copper parts were stolen.

12:33 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver -- Lebanon Road at North Woodcrest. The driver/susect was arrested for possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. He was taken into custody.

2:25 p.m. Burglary -- Belleville Township High School East, 2555 West Blvd. The complainant reported a door to the press box in the stadium was pried open and property was stolen.

7:47 p.m. Vehicle burglary, unlawful use of credit card -- 6300 block of West Washington. The victim reported her purse was stolen out of her vehicle and a credit card was used without her authorization.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20

1:44 a.m. Witness intimidation -- First block of Hillside Lane. The victim reported observing the suspect at her residence.

2:30 a.m. Arson, burglary -- American Recycling, 101 Iowa. The Belleville Fire Department extinguished a dumpster fire. Officers responded and discovered a suspect allegedly set fire to the dumpster. The suspect was located and taken into custody.

9:25 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- 1200 block of Freeburg. The driver/suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She was taken into custody.

10:04 a.m. Theft -- First block of North 98th Street. A witness reported observing two males steal an air conditioning unit.

2:12 p.m. Burglary -- 2500 block of Frank Scott Parkway. The victim reported a lock was cut off his shed and property was stolen.

4:37 p.m. Burglary -- 2700 block of Brookmeadow Drive. The victim reported her open garage was entered and property was stolen.

6:23 p.m. Unlawful visitation interference -- 500 block of Sunrise Drive. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against the suspect for visitation interference.

6:33 p.m. Residential burglary -- 1000 block of Freeburg Avenue. The victim reported her residence was entered and property was stolen.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21

5:09 a.m. Arson -- 700 block of West H Street. The Belleville Fire Department responded to a vehicle on fire, which appeared to be arson.

9:28 a.m. Soliciting on a highway, resisting arrest -- Carlyle at Green Mount Road. Randy Pritchard, 49, was arrested for soliciting on the highway and resisting arrest. He was taken into custody.

12:26 p.m. Theft -- 1100 block of East A Street. The victim reported property was stolen from his yard.

4:56 p.m. Theft of mislaid property -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. The victim reported she left her unattended purse in a shopping cart and her wallet was taken from the purse.

8:44 p.m. Residential burglary -- 1200 block of West D Street. The victim reported discovering property missing from his residence.

MONDAY, APRIL 22

12:12 a.m. Theft -- 200 block of South 13th Street. The victim reported prescription medication was stolen from his residence by the suspect. She was arrested and taken into custody.

10:45 a.m. Possession of a controlled substance -- Safe School, 1722 W. Main St. A juvenile was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody.

4:21 p.m. Theft -- 100 block of Hillside Lane. It was reported four air conditioners were stolen from the property.

5:31 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Three juveniles were arrested for retail theft. They were taken into custody.

6:24 p.m. Burglary, criminal damage to property -- 100 block of Rosette Drive. The victims reported entry was forced to the residence and damage was done to the inside of the residence.

6:42 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- South Side Park, 800 S. Sixth St. Graffiti was located painted on the back side of the storage building near the playground.

7:23 p.m. Theft -- Lindenwood University, 2600 W. Main St. Royce V. Simms, 57, and Orlando C. Evans, 46, were arrested for theft. They were taken into custody.

8:10 p.m. Retail theft -- Shop 'N Save, 4201 North Belt West. Marietta E. Nadler, 19 was arrested for retail theft. She was taken into custody.

9 p.m. Theft -- 200 block of Freedom Drive. The victim reported his property was stolen.

10:30 p.m. Aggravated battery with a firearm -- 100 block of North 44th Street. The victim reported he was beaten and shot by an acquaintance/suspect and three other unknown males. The victim was treated at an area hospital.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

TUESDAY, APRIL 23

Paul J. Parise, 41, of 506 E. Third St., Lebanon, arrested on suspicion of three counts of violation order of protection, prior violation of order and criminal damage of government property on or about April 21 by Lebanon police. Parise allegedly, having been served with the contents of an order of protection, issued on March 18 by the Circuit Court of St. Clair County, did knowingly commit an act which was prohibited by the order of protection in that said defendant came within 500 feet of Timmy Jackson, Christopher Stroman and Johnny Jackson; and knowingly damaged, without the consent of the Lebanon Police Department, the wall, located at 403 W. St. Louis, Lebanon, which property is supported in whole or in part with funds of a unit of local government, the city of Lebanon, said damage not in excess of $500. Defendant had been previously convicted of unlawful violation of an order of protection on April 11.

Quame R. Jefferson, 18, of 2434 Market St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of attempted residential burglary on or about April 22 by St. Clair County sheriff. Jefferson allegedly performed a substantial step toward the commission of that offense, in that he knowingly and without authority tried to enter into the dwelling place of Rickey Burris, located at 2901 Trendley Ave., East St. Louis, with the intent to commit theft.

Geoffre D. Rentschler, 22, of 101 Service St., Apt. 1, Swansea, arrested on suspicion of unlawful restraint and two counts of domestic battery on or about April 21 by Swansea police. Rentschler allegedly and without legal authority detained Killashandra R. Miller, in that he pulled her inside Apt. 1, located at 101 Service St., Swansea, and would not allow her to leave until the police attempted forced entry into the apartment; and knowingly made physical contact of an insulting nature with Killashandra Miller, a family/household member, in that he pulled her inside of an apartment, separating her from her mother and cousin and grabbed her by her clothing near her neck and shoved her on a bed.

Philip A. Ney, 20, of 2630 Sierra Drive, Apt. D, Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of burglary and unlawful use of a debit card on or about April 17 by Mascoutah police. Ney allegedly entered a black 2007 Kia Spectra, of Shane Martin, located at 1401 Autumn Lakes Lane, Mascoutah, with the intent to commit theft; with the intent to defraud the issuer, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, used a Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union debit card, which was without the cardholder's consent, for the purpose of obtaining goods, being clothing, total value not in excess of $300.

Cora A. Schlemmer, 65, of 2210 W. Second St., East Carondelet, arrested on suspicion of theft on or about July 5 by Illinois State Police. Schlemmer allegedly took control over property of Erna Richter, being U.S. currency, total value in excess of $500.

Paul E. Okeefe, 32, of 518 E. Washington, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a debit card on or about April 17 by Mascoutah police. Okeefe allegedly with intent to defraud the issuer, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, used a Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union debit card, which was without the cardholder's consent, for the purpose of obtaining goods, being clothing, total value not in excess of $300.

Antonio Austin, 32, of 1400 Missouri Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery in a public place on or about March 29 by Caseyville police. Austin allegedly, while at a gas station on Illinois 157, in Caseyville, a public roadway, knowingly caused bodily harm to Reginald L. Battle, in that he struck him in the face with his fist.
