Seriously, check this site

Serious Eats, one of the Web's most robust and reliable food sites, is the brainchild of Ed Levine, a Cedarhurst, N.Y., native who had a distinguished career in "old media" (books, print journalism) before going online in 2006.

At the site, you'll find recipes, product reviews and food news from all over the country and the world (New York is well covered), plus many opportunities to chime in with your own opinions and observations.

Serious Eats also encompasses two once-independent websites, Hamburger Today, the country's oldest burger blog, and Slice, its pizza counterpart.
