Beautiful end to April, but thunderstorms, cooler temps ahead

News-DemocratApril 30, 2013

The temperature in the metro-east on Tuesday is expected to reach 85 degrees under sunny skies.

It's a welcome change from the cool and rainy weather the area has endured over the past couple of weeks. But the pleasant weather won't last for long.

According to the National Weather Service, the area will have another nice day Wednesday with a temperature of 84 and sunshine. But on Thursday thunderstorms are likely with a high temperature of 72 degrees. On Friday the high will reach only 56 degrees with a 70 percent chance of showers throughout the day.
