Lynx will hold spring football game on Saturday

May 1, 2013

— The Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx will hold their first-ever spring football game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lindenwood Stadium.

Admission is free. Gates open at noon.

The spring game will feature a "black vs. maroon" matchup, as the Lynx unveil their new maroon top and white pants combination not worn during the inaugural season.

The Lynx are coming off a 4-6 finish to their inaugural season, and have just released the 2013 schedule for the program's second season.

Leading up to Saturday, the Lynx are participating in spring community outreach events around the St. Louis and MetroEast area.

The team led a reading day at Union Elementary School on Wednesday and will team up with the St. Louis Rams on Friday as part of the NFL Play 60 initiative.
