A good idea but it will be ignored

May 1, 2013

Instead of paying down the national debt on the backs of the poor, let's cut all tax-based pensions in half. All state, federal employees get a 50 percent reduction and this includes military "heroes."

Let's end all tax loopholes for the rich and double taxes on investment income. Next, give the wealthy six months to bring their offshore money back to America. Those who refuse would have their offshore wealth confiscated (hello, Mitt). With the trillions we would save, Medicare and Medicaid could be stabilized. America could then afford to give a livable increase to the poor who have only Social Security to live on (hello me).

Of course, this country is too stupid to do any of these things.
