Christ Our Rock Lutheran to host camp

May 2, 2013

Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School will host a girls basketball camp from June 3-7.

The camp will be open to any girl who will be attending fourth grade through their freshman year of high school during the 2013-14 academic year.

The camp will be run by Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School coach Dan Kueper, who will be assisted by current and former players. Kueper has taught youth basketball to third through sixth graders for more than 13 years. The camp will be a good opportunity for girls to learn, or reintroduce, fundamentals of the game at an entry level position.

The camp will consist of two daily sessions, 9-11 a.m. for fourth through sixth graders and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. for seventh through ninth graders. Skills emphasized will be ballhandling, shooting and defensive drills. The camp also will feature one-on-one and three-on three tournaments and a skills contest on the final day.

Cost of the camp is $35 and all participants will receive a T-shirt. For more details or questions contact Kueper at 618-520-0094. Registration deadline is May 27.
