A Highland man has been charged with four felony counts of child pornography.
Daniel E. Albright, 39, of 235 Keeven Drive, was charged Tuesday by the Madison County State's Attorney in connection with an investigation by the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The investigation began in fall 2012 when the Madison County Sheriff's Office Computer Forensics Division received information about Albright allegedly posing as a teenage boy and soliciting high school age girls to send him nude images. He is accused of using social networks to befriend high school aged girls throughout the U.S.
When investigators executed a search warrant on Albright's home they seized and analyzed his computers and found numerous images of child porn on them. One of the individuals in the porn was successfully identified as a 17-year-old girl from West Virginia.
Albright's bond was set at $100,000. Police are seeking to locate and arrest Albright, according to Madison County Sheriff's Capt. T. Mike Dixon.
