Do unborn babies have rights?

May 2, 2013

Five U.S. senators and 72 congressmen called upon the Government Accountability Office investigating the amount of tax funding awarded to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, a non-profit organization.

The Alliance Defending Freedom report documents $99 million in Planned Parenthood financial waste and possible fraud. Planned Parenthood is America's leading abortion provider, reporting 333,964 surgical abortions in 2012. It took in $1.2 billion in revenue. Taxpayer funding accounted for 42.5 percent, or $538 million.

Planned Parenthood receives Medicaid funding for family planning measures. Medicaid has covered for years surgical abortions, birth control, abortion-inducing drugs and sterilization, violating the conscience of many taxpayers.

Obama at the Planned Parenthood gala on April 27 began his speech by chastising those opponents who object to the administration's policy that federal and private insurance companies cover abortions and contraceptives. "Forty years after the Supreme Court affirmed a woman's constitutional right to privacy including the right to choose, we shouldn't have to remind people that when it comes to women's health no politician should get to decide what's best for you," he said. He promised he would stand with them fighting every step of the way. In conclusion he said, "God bless you."

Right-to-lifers demand a hearing by the U.S. Supreme Court answering the question: Is the baby in a pregnant American citizen entitled to the same constitutional right to life as the mother? Pray. Dare we forget the Nuremberg trials of 1947?
