Because of all the rain it's been a tough spring for area dirt tracks, but Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville was able to get its program in last Friday.
Richie Standridge got his first win at the track and claimed $1,500 by winning the UMP Late Models 40-lap event.
The victory made Standridge the fourth different feature winner. Mike Schulte, Jim Moon, Mike Hammerle and Ryan Little completed the top five.
Moon held on to the lead until around lap 32, when Standridge ran the low side and took over.
Dean Hoffman easily won his third UMP Modified feature, but there was quite a battle for second.
Brett Cygan, Brian Bielong and Justin Ketrow did everything they could to make things interesting.
Cygan eventually held off all the challenges to hold on to second. Cygan used the low road while Bielong was on the top and Ketrow tried the middle.
Bielong, Ketrow and Denny Tribout completed the top five.
In the UMP Sportsman feature, Jon Ripperda led all 15 laps to take his second feature of the year. Ripperda was followed by Chuck Goodman, Mike Jones, Mark Spraul and Nathan Schmitt.(*16*)
Trevor Isaak won the UMP Pure Stocks feature, followed by Dawn Rheinecker and Brian Crawford.
