A suspect has been arrested by Shiloh Police in connection with the battery of an employee that occurred early Monday outside the 54th Street Bar and Grill in Shiloh.

According to police, one restaurant employee was injured in the battery, which took place at 12:52 a.m. That employee was treated by paramedics at the scene. The employee was not robbed, police said, and the restaurant was closed at the time.

The St. Clair County state's attorney is considering charges in relation to the case, according to police. No detailed description of the male suspect was released.

The Shiloh 54th Street Bar and Grill is located at 3140 Greenmount Crossing Drive in the Greenmount Crossing shopping center. That location opened in 2006.

A month ago the Payless Shoe Source store in the same shopping center was robbed at gunpoint.
