News-DemocratMay 6, 2013

Collinsville Police were called to the Collinsville Building and Loan around noon Monday when they said an intoxicated patron threatened a teller.

The disturbance happened around 12:30 p.m., said Collinsville Police Lt. Rich Wittenauer.

"He came in very intoxicated," Wittenauer said. "We're not sure exactly what drugs he was on, but he was very, very intoxicated and made some threats to the teller. He refused to sign his slip for a withdrawal and made threats."

The man was not armed and did not injure any one at the bank located at 701 Belt Line Road. He was taken in to custody without incident and transported to Anderson Hospital for treatment due to his intoxicated state.
