Afraid of background check?

May 9, 2013

Why are the 4 million members of the National Rifle Association so afraid of background checks for gun ownership? I think I know.

A large number of gun owners by virtue of a background check would never be allowed to own a gun or rifle much less an automatic weapon. If a hunter needs an automatic weapon to go hunting, he/she could not hit the broad side of a barn.

Most of the military-style weapons have a selector switch to go from semi to full automatic and these weapons are meant for killing, not for hunting, including the AK-47 and AK-74.
