A metro-east technology services company is growing and adding more staff with more hiring to come this year.
Secure Data Technologies in O'Fallon is a veteran-owned IT solutions provider that has expanded into more office space and now employs 20. Company chief operating officer Vanessa Vasquez said the business recently invested more than a half a million dollars in new construction and plans at its headquaters at 650 Pierce Blvd. and will add at least three more skilled engineers and two account managers by the end of the year.
"We anticipate more jobs," Vasquez said. "We were in growth mode last year. We focused a lot on internal processes and growing the company."
The company was founded in 2010, and is owned by president Dana Steffey. Initially, the company operated as a Cisco technologies practice and partnered with various original equipment manufacturers such as VMware, NetApp, Dell and Microsoft to provide network solutions. Today, the business specializes in advanced network technologies such as Unified Communications, Voice/Video, Routing and Switching, Security, Wireless, Virtualization and Data Center.
Secure Data Technologies' primary focus is network design and implementation. The businesses has approximately 60 active clients include Dierbergs and Build-A-Bear Workshop.
"We obviously do business in our backyard," Vasquez said. "Our primary focus is in this region, but we do national and global business."
Steffey, also the company's chief executive officer, said the company focuses on clients that employ from 100 to 1,000. He said the business has thrived because its services are one of the few that have not been outsourced.
"We are in a market with a lot of competition and a lot of demand," Steffey said. "We just take it to the next level. We strive and excel to attend to detailed customer service and basically being that service and having the flexibility to be nimble and come through for our customers every time."
The company's motto is "Execution Is Everything." Over the past four years, Secure Data Technologies has had the highest Cisco customer satisfaction score in a 13-state region across the Midwest.
"Through the years, when we walk into the room, we are leading the team," Steffey said. "We have the expertise in the room to basically solve their issues."
