News-DemocratMay 13, 2013

All previously flooded roads in the metro-east are now open, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Heavy rains last month caused flooding to close roads in Madison, Jersey and Randolph counties. All of those previously closed roads are now fully open to traffic.

The roads include Route 100 in Alton between U.S. 67 and Williams Street, Route 100 through Grafton between Route 16 and Route 3, Route 3 in Grafton and Kaskaskia Street in Chester
