Belleville blotter: Softball players' gear stolen at Citizen's Park

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

FRIDAY

11:30 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT - 10000 block of Wondell Woods Drive. The victim reported his 2009 Nissan Aramad was stolen for his driveway. Belleville officers located the vehicle in East St. Louis and conducted a traffic stop. A ale suspect, 30, was arrested and taken into custody.

SATURDAY

2:39 a.m. P.U.I./AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO POLICE OFFICER - Belleville Police Department, 101 S. Illinois St. The suspect was arrested for P.U.I. at 17th and W. Main streets and taken into custody. At police headquarters, the suspect bit an officer during booking.

SUNDAY

10:21 p.m. THEFT - Citizen's Park, 341 Citizen Park. The victims reported property was stolen by a subject known to them while they were playing softball.
