Belle-Clair Speedway is the spot for some great racing action Friday night with the "Battle at Belle-Vegas" Twin 30's event featuring UMP Super Late Models, POWRi Midgets and POWRi Outlaw Micros.
Tickets are $20 each with children 12-under admitted free. Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
Racing at Belle-Clair has been washed out by rain the last two weeks.
Chad Zobrist won the UMP Late Model feature last Saturday as Highland Speedway dodged bad weather and was finally able to stage its weekly racing event.
Mike Harrison won the UMP Steve Schmitt Modified feature and Steve Ellison won the UMP B-Dry Solutions Sport Mods feature.
Jeremy Camp won the Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros main event and Wade Glover won the UMP Hamel Coop Street Stock feature.
Oberbeck Grain Company will present Hard Charger Night at Highland Speedway on Saturday, with the company providing bonus money to the Hard Charger in each class.
This weekend also marks the debut of the Crate Double Down event at Highland Speedway.
Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, general grandstand admission is $12 and children 10-under are free with paid adult admission.
Feature winners last Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach were Highland's Billy Faust (UMP Late Models), Troy's Dean Hoffman (UMP Modifieds), Aaron Heck (UMP Pro Crate Late Models), Jason Worley (Street Stocks) and Christian Lee (Factory Stocks).
This week's regular Friday racing program includes the Dirt Divas.
Federated Auto Parts Raceway
Federated Auto parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., will give $1,000 away to one lucky fan on Saturday. The fan will then get to choose a favorite driver racing Saturday to win another $1,000.
There is a full racing program planned for Saturday with racing beginning at 7 p.m.
SPEED Channel's "Lucas Oil...On the Edge!" will broadcast the 2012 POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series' Charlene Meents Memorial, run Oct. 6, 2012 at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, at 10 a.m. Saturday.
