Off the job but still collecting a paycheck

May 18, 2013

In October an East St. Louis Police detective filed a complaint of racial profiling against the Fairview Heights Police Department for his 17-year-old son's traffic stop on Oct. 9. I am curious as to the final outcome of that complaint as this same detective now has been indicted along with a host of others for conspiring to distribute and traffic drugs throughout the metro-east.

The charges are very serious and call into question all involvement of this officer in cases. If true, how many innocent brothers and sisters are behind bars today as a result of his building up his drug inventory?

It is a good thing he resides in a country in which people are assumed innocent until proven guilty. And he is getting paid to sit on his duff while the months and years go by until proven otherwise.

Ain't life grand? Only in America.
