Treasurer mails property tax bills to residents in St. Clair County

Property tax bills will soon be hitting mail boxes throughout St. Clair County, according to county Treasurer Charles Suarez.

The county is in the process of mailing about 140,000 tax bills that will collect more than $330 million from local property owners. About 60 percent of the collected tax revenue will be district to local school districts.

The first of two installments will be due July 17. The second installment is due Sept. 4.
