Charity begins at home

May 23, 2013

The horrible disaster in Moore, Okla., is heartbreaking. Property can be replaced, but not the lives of those lost or their loved ones. It is wonderful to hear of the outflow of volunteers from around our great nation going to help those in need. Donations are needed and I am sure are greatly appreciated. Time is of the essence.

Would it be possible for our government to consider not sending so much foreign aid to so many countries? Also, would it be asking to much to sequester future bonuses for government department heads?

I am sure these efforts in trying to help our own citizens first will not be cause for loss of power, votes or cause for a scandal.

God Bless America and its patriots.
