Fire investigators are looking into a pair of suspicious fires that happened less than a mile from each other early Friday in Cahokia.

Both of the fires started in vacant homes, the first about 1 a.m. in the 500 block of St. Cecilia. The second happened about 4 a.m. in the 400 block of St. Thomas.

No one was injured. The Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
