The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 29
7:31 a.m. Motor vehicle theft --First block of Beth Ann Drive. The victim reported her Dodge Caravan was stolen.
10:28 a.m. Fraud -- 1000 block of South Charles. The victim reported money was taken from his bank account without his authorization.
11:56 a.m. Residential burglary -- 600 block of South Third Stret. The victim reported entry was forced to the residence and property was stolen.
3:06 p.m. Theft -- 200 block of South Belt West. The victim reported property was stolen from her residence.
4:07 p.m. Retail theft -- K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza. Michelle Cox, 19, was arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.
9:05 p.m. Disorderly conduct, arrest -- 1100 block of Dawn Drive. Michael R. Whittaker, 24, was arrested for an outstanding nontraffic citation for battery and taken into custody.
11:14 p.m. Retail theft -- BP, 1301 S. 74th St. An employee reported a black male took merchandise without purchasing the items.
THURSDAY, MAY 30
12:17 a.m. Aggravated domestic battery -- 800 block of Bristow. The pregnant victim reported the suspect allegedly battered her.
12:33 a.m. Drunkenness -- 600 block of Bristow. John Ellis, 47, was arrested for drunkenness and taken into custody.
11:09 a.m. Traffic stop, felony revoked driver's license, cannabis, drug paraphernalia -- 700 block of East McKinley. Suspect was arrested after a traffic stop for a revoked driver's license, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody.
12:41 p.m. Panhandling -- 100 block of South Second Street. Rebecca Farmer, 49, was arrested for panhandling.
1 p.m. Traffic stop, felony revoked -- Suspect was arrested for driving on a revoked driver's license.
1 p.m. Belleville fugitive -- South Side Park. David McKee was arrested for an outstanding nontraffic citation.
1:57 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- Schnucks, 5720 N. Belt West. Bijan Ebrahimpour, 20, and James McDonnell, 40, were arrested for fighting.
3 p.m. Violation no stalking --600 block of South Jackson. Rodney Chavis was arrested for violating his no-stalking order.
6:28 p.m. Battery, mob action --Bellevue Park, 401 Bellevue Park Drive. The female victim was battered by several black females, 18 to 20 years of age, who came up behind her and battered her as she was walking on the walking path. The black females left the area after the battery, victim is not familiar with them. Victim went to Memorial Hospital to be checked out and contacted police. Police checked the area with negative results.
8:08 p.m. Pedestrian under the influence -- 4400 block of Gray Street. Vance Johnson was arrested for pedestrian under the influence in the 4400 block of Gray Street. He taken to headquarters and held pending sobriety.
11:55 p.m. Burglary -- Denny's, 1130 S. Illinois St. An employee of Denny's discovered a lock had been removed from the outside freezer and several cases of meat were stolen between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
FRIDAY, MAY 31
1:57 a.m. Burglary -- A B Gold Jewelry, 1121A E. Main St. Officers responded to a burglary alarm at the rear door of the business. Forced entry was discovered to a common area with the adjoining business Retro Games. Nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing from the businesses.
2:01 a.m. Residential burglary -- 300 block of North 40th Street. The victim reported when she arrived home she discovered a small glass pane on her rear door had been broken out to gain entry to the residence. Several drawers had been rummaged through but nothing appeared to be missing.
7:01 a.m. Stolen vehicle -- 6000 block of West Washington. Victim reported his vehicle was stolen.
11:57 a.m. Stolen vehicle -- First block of Brittany Lane. Victim stated her vehicle was stolen.
5:15 p.m. Domestic battery -- 300 block of South 16th Street. The victim reported the suspect battered her. He was taken into custody.
10:26 p.m. Domestic battery, violation of order or protection -- 600 block of South 19th Street. Victim reported the suspect battered her and violated an order of protection.
1:40 a.m. Traffic accident, driving under the influence -- 700 block of Carlyle Avenue. The driver, Robert Reidelberger, 32, was involved in a traffic accident and arrested for driving under the influence. He was taken into custody.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5
Evette Robinson, 41, of 1438 Centerville Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlles substance on or about April 16 by St. Clair County sheriff. Robinson allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
Mark J. Marshall, 41, of 71 P.O. Box, Lenzburg, arrested on suspicion of aggravated batter, great bodily harm on or about June 3 by Marissa police. Marshall allegedly caused great bodily harm to Terry Hamon in that he struck Terry Hamon in the head with a beer bottle causing lacerations to his right eye, right ear, causing a scratch to his cronea and fracturing a bone above his right eye.
Eddie L. Odell, 50, of 16 Ridge Lane, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery, two counts of domestic battery on or about Nov. 18, 2012 by Caseyville police. Odell allegedly, in committing a domestic battery, knowingly strangled Dawn M. Logan, a family/household member, in that said defendant grabbed Dawn M. Logan around the throat with his hands and applied pressure, thereby impeding air flow; knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Dawn M. Logan, a family/household member, in that he stuck Dawn M. Logan in the mouth with his fist; pushed Dawn M. Logan about her body.
Grady E. Shanklin, 52, of 501 N. 47th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about May 19 by East St. Louis police. Shanklin allegedly took merchandise from Schnucks, 2511 State St., East St. Louis, being packs of pork spareribs, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Retail Theft - Subsequent on Nov. 10, 2004.
Loren D. McDuffee, 50, of 821 W. A St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and aggravated battery in a public place on or about June 4 by Belleville police. McDuffee allegedly, with the intent to commit the offense of robbery, performed a substantial step toward the commissionof that offense, in that he grabbed Michelle Hassebrook's property, being two sodas and books; and while Michelle Hassebrook was at 600 W. Main St., a public way, knowingly caused bodily harm to Hassebrook, in that he struck her about the face and shoulder area with his fist.
Robert L. Cooley, 37, of 1214 Williams St., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of controlled substances on or about March 3 by Caseyville police. Cooley allegedly had in his possession a substance containing psilocyn.
Heather N. Preston, 21, of 1114 Lucas Ave., Unit 616, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or abour Oct. 5, 2012 by Caseyville police. Preston allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.
THURSDAY, JUNE 6
Blake S. Willeford, 26, of 437 Audry Drive, Dupo, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possesison of a controlled substance and driving under the influence by Dupo police. Willeford allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin; drove a Pontiac Grand Am on Route 3 in Sauget, while there was an amount of a drug, substance or compound in his urine resulting from the unlawful consumption of 6-Monoacetylmorphine.
Marcus D. McWhorter, 21, of 206 Cynthia Lane, Lebanon, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of driving under the influence on or about March 9 by O'Fallon police. McWhorter allegedly had in his possession a substance containing 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine; drove a blue/silver 1991 Chevrolet 1500 truck on Regency Park Drive in O'Fallon, while there was an amount of a drug, substance or compound in his breath, blood, or urine resulting from the unlawful use of comsumption of 3,4-Methylenedieoxymethamphetamine and consumption of cannabis.
Karen K. Stone, 51, of 117 S. Ninth St., East Carondelet, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on or about June 5 by Belleville police. Stone allegedly took merchandise from Ben's Crafts, Belleville, being candle wax, candle, gift bag and flashlight, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of forgery on March 22, 2012.
