Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville is hosting the TTG 100 Mike Meurer Memorial for Modifieds on Friday sponsored by Valvoline, which will pay $1,750 to the winner and $950 for second place.
Perennial UMP Modifieds contender Dean Hoffman should be among the favorites along with current points leader Brian Bielong and second-place Aaron Kleine.
Last Friday during the Kettler & Sons Flatwork Night it was Michael Kloos winning the UMP Late Model feature, followed by Andrew Johns and C.J. Simpson.
Hoffman won the Modified feature ahead of Mike Harrison and Matt Mevert.
Current point leaders at the track are Mike Hammerle in the Kettler & Sons UMP Late Models, Bielong in UMP Modifieds, Nathan Schmitt in UMP Sportsman, Bryan Baker in UMP Pure Stocks and Rob Shaw in UMP Pro 4 Stocks.
The UMP Summer Nationals "Hell Tour" comes to Belle-Clair on Thursday, June 20 with the Mountain Dew 50 paying $5,000 to win for UMP Late Models. UMP Summit Modifieds will race in the "Aaron's 30" for $1,000 to win.
These are the only two classes running that night. General admission is $28 for adults and a pit pass is $35 for adults.
A pair of Highland drivers swept the top two spots in the UMP Late Model feature race last Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach.
Randy Korte was the winner and Billy Faust finished second, while Ray Walsh won the UMP Modifieds feature.
Eldon Hemken from Sorento won the Factory Stock feature and Jason Worley won the Street Stocks feature. Aaron Heck came out on top in the UMP Pro Crate Late Models.
The next big event coming to Tri-City is the UMP DIRTCar Summer Nationals "Hell Tour" on June 21 featuring $10,000 to win for UMP Late Models.
Highland Speedway will host the Grapperhaus Metals "Night of Destruction" on Saturday with a full racing card planned. There is free grandstand admission for all active and retired military personnel with proper ID.
Grandstands open at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6:15 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.
Federated Auto Parts Raceway
Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., will be holding its regular weekly racing program featuring all car classes.
Andrew Felker finished one car length in front of Daniel Adler to win the feature in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series and Cale Thomas drove to his first victory in the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series in the third round of POWRi's Speed Week last Saturday at Macon Speedway.
