More rain in the forecast as workweek begins

A 70 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast Monday with the most likely chance of rain coming in the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperature is expected to reach 84 under cloudy skies. Rain is expected to start at about 2 p.m.

There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms and showers Monday night.

The weather the rest of the week looks more favorable.

Skies are expected to be sunny on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a high temperature in the mid 80s.

On Thursday and Friday, mostly sunny skies are expected with a little warmer temperatures. A high of 87 is expected Thursday; the mercury could hit 90 on Friday.
