Molina homers in Cardinals' 4-1 victory over Cubs

— Yadier Molina hit a two-run homer and Jake Westbrook allowed just one unearned run in seven innings Wednesday as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs 4-1.

How it went

The game was tied at 1 in the sixth when Matt Holliday led off with a single. One out later, Molina hit his fifth homer of the season, a 385-foot drive to left against Edwin Jackson that made it 3-1. Pete Kozma added an RBI single later in the inning against reliever Carlos Villanueva.

Westbrook (3-2) has not allowed an earned run in three starts and 22 innings at home this season. ... Edward Mujica pitched the ninth for his 21st save in 21 chances. ...
