Fund set up for children of fisherman who drowned in Lebanon lake

News-DemocratJune 20, 2013

A memorial fund has been set up at Bank of America for the children of a man who drowned in a Lebanon lake on June 12.

Lewis L. Jones, 44, of Lebanon, drowned in the lake at Horner Park when he went into the water to retrieve a dropped fishing pole.

He is survived by his wife, Toni, three children and three stepchildren. Toni is a stay-at-home mother who did not hold a paying job before her husband's death. Jones did not have life insurance, according to his sister, LaToya Berry.

Donations to help the family and Lewis' children can be made to the Jones Children's Memorial Fund at any Bank of America beginning June 19.

Questions about the fund or about helping the family can be directed to Berry at 567-4837.
