Dancing up a night of fun

June 21, 2013

Good friends invited us to attend the performance of the international folk dancers from Brigham Young University on June 1 at Belleville East High School. Soon after the invitation, the BND showcased the group in a beautiful article highlighting the event, and one of the dancers is from our area. What a nice prelude the article was to an amazing evening.

The dancers, performing dances typical of countries around the world, were unbelievable. Their wholesome, high energy and entertaining numbers equaled anything we've seen at the Fox or the Muny. And their costumes were beautiful and varied with each country they represented in dance.

The musicians were outstanding, giving an amazing performance and bringing the dancing to life, to an absolutely packed house.

Our community was fortunate that the BYU International Folk Dancers made a stop over just for us to enjoy. I hope they will return again.
