Hot, stormy weather expected for start of workweek

Weather in the metro-east is expected to be dry and mostly sunny Monday morning.

But storms could complicate things after about 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon when the high temperature is expected to reach 93 degrees. The chance increases to 30 percent during the evening hours with the most likely time for rain to come before 10 p.m.

Mostly sunny weather is expected Tuesday with a high score of 94 degrees expected. But a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms is back in the forecast for Wednesday when the high temperature is predicted to be 96.
