Collinsville Police seek suspect in CVS robbery

Collinsville Police are searching for a suspect accused of robbing the CVS Pharmacy on Beltline Road on Friday night.

Employees at the CVS reported the robbery at 8:25 p.m. after a man entered the business, reached over the counter and snatched an undetermined amount of cash from the register. He then got into a vehicle and fled the store.

No weapon was used in the robbery.

The suspect is a black man, around 5-7, between 170 pound and 190 pounds. He is believed to be in his 20s and had a goatee. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, sunglasses and tan boots.

The getaway vehicle is described as a 1995 to 2001 Chevrolet Lumina with no front plate and a black plate holder. It is a light color, either gray or light blue, with a cracked passenger side taillight.

The same suspect is believed to have been involved in a similar robbery at the Walgreen's Pharmacy on Bluff Road June 19.
