SIUE's recruiting class ranks among nation's best

— The 2013 recruiting class for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's soccer has been ranked among the nation's finest as announced by

SIUE is ranked No. 38 nationally and is the only Missouri Valley Conference member to be included in the select group.

The Cougars announced their eight incoming freshmen following the February national signing date. The list includes Kyle Dal Santo (Bolingbrook, Ill.), Joel Duncan (Mt. Vernon, Ill.), Jason Hackett (St. Louis), Austin Ledbetter (St. Charles, Mo.), Andrew Kendall-Moullin (Faribault, Minn.), Drew Merideth (East Moline, Ill.), Mitchell Williams (Blacksburg, Va.), and Devyn Jambga (Harare, Zimbabwe).

The Cougars, coming off a 13-7 record last season and its second appearance in the MVC Tournament Championship game in three seasons, expect the newcomers to play a key role in 2013.
