McKendree adds local girls to recruiting class

News-DemocratJuly 2, 2013

— Women's tennis coach Adam Reeb has announced his initial class of signee's for his first recruiting class at McKendree University.

Samantha Siegel, of St. Edward's University (Texas); Anna Mernick and Hannah Harry, of Belleville West; Allison Harres, of Belleville East; Jessica Gaither, of Flora; and Sara Janulavich, of Edwardsville, will all join the Bearcats for Reeb's first season at the helm in 2013-14.

"I'm very excited about this incoming class," said Reeb. "It's always a great honor to have so many of the best local women's tennis players decide to continue their academics and tennis at McKendree, and we couldn't be happier to welcome Anna, Hannah, Allison, and Sara to our Bearcat tennis program. In addition, we've added a multiple-time Illinois State Tournament qualifier in Jessica and a transfer student from a top 30 Division II program in Samantha. This group will really increase our depth, and they will all be first-class representatives of McKendree both on and off the court."
