Will it rain on July 4th? Mild temperatures on tap for holiday weekend

Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon but temperatures should be mild with a high of 79, according to the National Weather Service.

Isolated showers, with possible thunderstorms, are possible after 1 p.m. But the rest of the day should be partly sunny with light and variable winds.

There is a slight chance of showers before 1 a.m. with an overnight low around 61.

Independence Day will see a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Otherwise, skies should be mostly sunny with a high near 84.

The evening low during fireworks celebrations will be around 65 under partly cloudy skies.

The rain should stay away Friday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 85.
