Gives thanks for our freedoms

July 3, 2013

I, and many Americans, get choked up when I hear patriotic songs. While our country has many things wrong, it has many things that no other country can match.

This Fourth, we need to thank the good Lord for sparing us his wrath for moving away from Christian principles. The Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage is a slap in God's face and all that Christians stand on. When God created man and woman, he intended for that to be marriage, otherwise we wouldn't need the two genders to reproduce.

The Supreme Court justices can make all the rules they want, but when it goes against God's law, they are setting themselves and this country upon a collision course with God.

This Fourth, remember the ones who gave their lives for our freedom, even if it is being abused, and then thank God for his mercy; we are long overdue for being chastised.
