The Clinton County Sheriff's Department and Clinton County Coroner's Office have determined that foul play was not involved in the death of an elderly man whose body was found Friday in Clinton County.

The body of 86-year-old Julius Esmon was found Friday in a flooded field in Clinton County. The Highland Police Department had received a report at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday that Esmon had been missing and was last seen at about 2:15 p.m. that afternoon at a local bank.

On Friday, the St. Rose Fire Protection District responded to a call that a vehicle had stalled in high water about a mile east of Jamestown on Keyesport Road. They found the body just south of the vehicle.
