Too many fooled by Obama

July 5, 2013

For once I firmly agree with something written by Jim Walters. A recent letter ends by saying, "America, what a stupid country." Now more than ever is when that comment best applies.

With the re-election of President Obama and the series of scandals that have recently surfaced, it is now more clear than ever that Obama manipulated and took advantage during the last election and misled us. He would do anything to be re-elected. Yet many Americans followed him blindly and still do.

I thought the American people demonstrated their utmost stupidity in 1964 with the election of Lyndon Johnson after he had portrayed himself as a peace candidate and then got us into a war. Compared to Johnson, Obama takes the cake.

In reference to the people Walters mentioned in his letter -- to include Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachmann, Ted Cruz, Jim Inhofe, Mike Lee and Louis Gehmert -- let us hope they will keep up their good work and derail any presidential ambitions by either Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton.

The letter by Walters reminds me of a proverb that so states: A fool must every now and then be right. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
