Leave it to Beaver, 2003

July 6, 2013

"Yes, Eddie."

"Mrs. Cleaver, me and Lumpy were wondering if Wally could go with us tonight to the new East St Louis Entertainment District."

"Gee, I don't know, I need to ask Mr. Cleaver. Ward?"

"Yes, June."

"Ward, Wally, Lumpy and Eddie want to go to the new East St Louis Entertainment District tonight, what do you think?"

"Well, June, I don't know; it's open really late and all."

"Gee, Pop," says Beaver, "I think it would be swell. If Mayor Alvin Parks says it's OK, it must be OK, right, Pop?"

"Well, Beaver, even though Eddie and Mayor Parks thinks it's a good idea, would you jump off a bridge if they did?"

"Gee, Pop, that's not fair," says Beaver, "but the mayor said it's swell."

Well, I suppose you boys can go, just be home by 10."

Eddie states: "But Mr. Cleaver, it doesn't open until midnight."
