Dale and Sharon (Deegan) Rawdon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 22, 2013. They met in Mount Clemens, Michigan in 1961. Dale was stationed there in the U.S. Air Force in the newly formed SAC unit at Selfridge Air Force Base. They were married June 22, 1963 at St. Joan of Arc Church by Father King in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

The Rawdons have been blessed with three children: Steven (Angela) Rawdon of Collinsville, Cheryl (Mark) Kucinick of St. Jacob, and David (Vikki) Rawdon of Maryville. They have eight grandchildren: Ashley and Andrew Rawdon, Joe and Rosemary Burgess, Whitney and Kara Kucinick, and Nathan and Kassidy Rawdon.

Dale retired from Monsanto in Sauget as a power-house engineer in 1994. Sharon retired from Collinsville Unit 10 School District in Special Education in 2008. Dale and Sharon have lived in Collinsville since 1967. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, traveling to Branson, gardening, and volunteering at their church. They are very thankful for the blessings God has given them through the years.
