The St. Louis Blues added more forward depth Monday by acquiring Pat Cannone from the Ottawa Senators for future considerations.

The 26-year-old Cannone had 10 goals and 25 points in 74 games last season for the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. He also played four seasons at Miami (Ohio) University and one season with Cedar Rapids in the United States Hockey League.

In three seasons covering 152 AHL games, Cannone has 30 goals and 70 points along with 75 penalty minutes. He was originally signed by Ottawa as a free agent on April 8, 2011.

*In other Blues news Monday, the club promoted Jan Vopat to become Head of European Amateur Scouting after longtime Blues scout Ville Siren left to join former Blues scouting director Jarmo Kekalainen with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Kekalainen was hired as the Blue Jackets new general manager earlier this year.

The 40-year-old Vopat has worked as a Blues scout since 2007 an also played in 126 NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators.
