Former NFL star Bryan Cox hosting benefit golf tourney Saturday at Far Oaks

Former NFL star linebacker Bryan Cox is hosting his third annual celebrity golf tournament at noon Saturday at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville to benefit a scholarship fund for East St. Louis students and the Pop Warner Football program.

The event is part of Cox's "Creating Opportunities for Excellence" Foundation and Club 51. It will include several current and former NFL players as well as Cox, an East St. Louis Senior High graduate and currently an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The golf tournament fee is $125 per person and includes golf, cart, awards dinner, gift bags, range balls and prizes.
