A twice-delayed project to seal the deck of the McKinley Bridge is scheduled again for Friday.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, the bridge will close at 9 p.m. Friday. The span is expected to be reopened by 5 a.m. Monday.
The first attempt to seal the bridge was postponed because of high flood waters in June. A couple of weeks later the rescheduled work was again delayed because of rain in the weather forecast.
Mason Landscaping & Construction Services of East St. Louis will handle the work.
